Quintin Smith
Quintin Smith Family Angus is a family owned and operated cattle farm in Lebanon, TN. Quintin and his wife Vicki, with the occasional help of daughters Jamie, Sonya, Robbie and Callie, run the farm. They raise primarily Black Angus cattle.
Quintin Smith is a third generation Angus breeder who began showing Angus Cattle in the mid-1960s. He is an accomplished cattleman and has judged shows across the United States and Canada including the North American International Livestock Exposition, the National Western Stock Show and the Canadian National Angus Show. He breeds cattle like he judges them: easy fleshing, high performance cattle that are sound on their feet and legs.
In his breeding program, Quintin produces cattle that perform well on fescue, the predominant grass on his middle Tennessee farm, are structurally sound and move with ease. His cows are feminine with eye appeal and nice udders and his bulls are strong and reliable. The well-known A.I. sire HSAF Bando 1961 was a product of Quintin’s breeding program.
Quintin and his family have enjoyed many successes in the show ring including Reserve Grand Champion Owned and Bred and Owned Females and multiple Division Winners at the National Junior Angus Show; Reserve Grand Champion Female at the North American International; and Supreme Champion of both the Atlantic National and the All American Angus Breeders’ Futurity. Most importantly, the Show heifers have gone on to be Champion Cow-Calf pairs and to produce winners themselves. Quintin has 17 and 18 year old former show heifers still in production and still raising champions.
The farm is located in Lebanon, TN approximately 30 miles east of Nashville. Call or come visit anytime.
